I got a big surprise yesterday--Aug.24,09--via mailbox!
A stranger got my name & address from somewhere
and sent me a Birthday letter! She sent me stickers & seals
& stationary...I don't even know her!!! My B-day was July 23
but she must have thought it was August 23...I just thought
that was soooo NICE! Bless her heart!!! I have a thank you
return letter prepared and I asked her WHEN was her
Birthday? It must have been an elderly lady--her
handwriting was shakey--know what I mean? But it
may not be the case...I just know a complete stranger
to me celebrated my belated Birthday!! It made me
think---what if everyone "picked" out a stranger to
send a Birthday letter/card & little gifts to? The only
thing I can think is my name & address is in a penpal
magazine--but that was years ago...maybe she got my
name & address from there? I just thought it was so
SWEET even though it was belated. (smiles)
